BASTARDINHO APOTHÉOSE

APOTHÉOSE

FORTIFIED WINE

This wine is the last drops of our extremely rare and unique fortified wine.

Its origin is found in the vineyards once planted in the region of Lavradio and Caparica (South bank of the Tagus River). The last grapes received (1 ton) were in 1983 from a single vineyard of 100 years old and had an alcohol degree of 18%.

While making the last blend of Bastardinho de Azeitão 20 yeas old a small barrel with 20 liters was found, which contained a very old wine, of exceptional quality, representing the highest level of excellence for this type of wine.

When tasting this wine, one should be aware that these are the last drops of this wine that will never be repeated, since this was a wine that aged approximately 100 years in cask and originated from vineyards of 100 years old.
