José Maria da Fonseca was considered one of the “Top 100 Wineries 2020” by Wine & Spirits magazine, being one of the four Portuguese wineries in the list.

According to Wine & Spirits magazine, this distinction is based “on outstanding performances in our tastings, impressing our panels and critics with a collection of wines that bested the competition within its region”.

The “Top 100 Wineries” from Wine & Spirits, considered one of the most important accolades in the wine business, takes into account quality parameters and consistency, among the various wine producing companies around the world, highlighting 100 wine producers based on the tastings done of over 11 thousand wines during the year.

“In a challenging year like this one, this recognition by one of the most important wine publications in the world, gives us extra strength and motivation to continue working. It is the acknowledgment of the quality of our wines, sold in more than 70 countries around the world” mentions António Maria Soares Franco, Marketing & Sales executive board member at José Maria da Fonseca.

This is the seventh time that José Maria da Fonseca is nominated for the “Top 100 Wineries” by Wine & Spirits magazine.
